To provide technical support within the Research and Development Support team. Reporting to the Shift Co-ordinator, the operation of clean room processes leading to the successful fabrication of test cell devices is the key goal.

Substrates preparation and inspection
Spin coating of polymer solutions
Cathode deposition and encapsulation
Batch processing of high quality spin-coated Light Emitting Polymer (LEP) device layers

MAIN ACTIVITIES BY AREA

Polymer and ink preparation

Handling of dried polymers, solvents and fine chemicals
Preparation of polymer solutions in organic solvents

Spin coating

Handling of polymer solutions, aqueous solutions and fine chemicals
Surface preparation of substrates
Operation of established spin coat processes
Production of deposited substrates via spin processes
Visual inspection of defects

Cathode deposition and encapsulation

Operation of varied cathode and encapsulation equipment supporting 2” and 6” (device)
Deposition of varied metal device cathodes
Visual inspection of defects
